1977 Dumbarton

This single grain Scotch Whisky was bottled after 42 years in ex-Bourbon casks, and comes from the long-closed Dumbarton distillery along the River Clyde west of Glasgow.

TASTING NOTES

The nose is fruity with peaches, apricots, and a hint of lemon zest along with milk chocolate and caramel candy. The taste is fruity with a good underlying spiciness, as peaches, apricots, and hints of citrus overlay allspice and white pepper spices while milk chocolate adds complexity in the background. The finish is long and fruity with hints of spice and oak. Excellent!
